Natural Body Cleanse

Detoxification refers to the process of eliminating toxins from your body and it’s one of the most critical functions of all living organisms. There are more toxins in the environment now than ever, and they have an enormous impact on the health, balance, and function of the human body. It’s vital to support the body’s prime detox organs – liver, colon, kidneys, skin, and lymphatic system – with the necessary nutrients.

While some toxins are more obvious, other seemingly normal substances can also be toxic. These include pesticides, herbicides, paints, industrial chemicals, plastic wrap, plastic bottles, plastic food containers, prescription meds, substances added to food such as artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, sugar, preservatives, and impure water. Even many common household items such as air fresheners, shampoos, cleansers, antibacterial soaps, deodorants, hair dyes, perfumes, and colognes contain chemicals toxic to the body. In addition, many of these chemical compounds mimic the body’s natural hormones, especially estrogen, and are called xenoestrogens. They can directly interfere with hormone bioavailability and function.

The body’s detox organs are designed to naturally cleanse toxins, but this process is easily overwhelmed and compromised without the right nutritional support. When impurities aren’t properly filtered, they’re undesirably moved into body fat, bones, connective tissues, joints, lymphatic system, and the brain. And, along the way, these toxins, unfortunately, damage cells.

The body is constantly at work to keep every cell in your body as healthy as possible. A nourishing diet, exercise, and specific liver cleanse supplements are the most important tools to detoxify and support the body’s natural cleanse process.

Nutrients That Support Detoxification

Although there are many powerful allies in supporting detoxification, here are just a handful of key nutrients.

DIM (Diindolylmethane) is one of many powerful plant components found naturally in cruciferous vegetables that supports estrogen metabolism. It’s a powerful plant-based antioxidant found in a variety of vegetables, including broccoli, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. However, in order to get high levels of DIM, one would have to eat at least two pounds of these vegetables daily.

Calcium D-Glucarate provides support for the healthy detoxification and elimination of xenoestrogens from the body and supports healthy hormone balance.

L-Glutathione is a key detoxifier and antioxidant that supports healthy liver function, tissue integrity and the detoxification pathways. N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) is a necessary building block for glutathione production.

Milk thistle extract provides herbal liver support, important because virtually all xenoestrogens from our environment are detoxified by the liver.

The B vitamins Pyridoxine (B6), Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 as Methyl Cobalamin support healthy liver function and detoxification.

Grapeseed supports healthy liver function, detoxification and reduces excessive free radical stress that can occur as a result of toxicity.

Amino acids DL-Methionine and Taurine supply biologically active forms of sulfur to support healthy detoxification, particularly of toxic metals, as well as support healthy liver function and bile flow.

Detoxification

Detoxification is a natural filtration process by the colon, kidneys, liver, digestive, and lymphatic systems. This filtration process can easily become overwhelmed by toxins encountered on a daily basis, forcing the body to store toxins it can no longer process, which affects the optimal functioning of organ systems and hormone balance. Key formulas support the cleansing of organs by stimulating the normal filtration process of toxins, eliminating xenoestrogens that can disrupt the body’s natural hormone balance.
