Amino Fac-41 supports the increased protein needs of growing horses, horses in training, and the pregnant mare to promote muscle integrity and definition. Concentrated source of all the amino acids, including 4% Lysine. Supports lean muscle mass, bone and joint structure, vital organ development, immune system function, and hoof and connective tissue health.
Feeding Instructions: 0,5 to 1 lb/day for weights up to 1,000 lbs; increase for heavier horses.
Research is showing the optimal protein requirements of exercising horses may currently be underestimated. Meeting protein needs for horses that are still growing is particularly challenging.
Amino-Fac-41 contains 4% Lysine, the most limited amino acid in the diet, as well as the amino acid most likely to be deficient. Amino-Fac-41 can be fed in conjunction with other supplements when additional dietary protein is required.
Feeding enough crude protein and key amino acids to support healthy growth of tissues is critically important for optimal health. Protein is needed to support lean muscle mass; muscle, bone and joint structure, vital organ development, immune system health, and hoof and connective tissue health. Protein also is involved in metabolic stability by contributing to balance in the body’s many enzyme and hormonal functions.
When remodeling bone, muscle, tendon and ligament are competing for amino acids in young horses in training, growth may slow or stop. Inadequate protein/amino acid supply compromises the strength and integrity of tissues. Unrecognized muscle soreness can rob performance. These horses, as well as any horse that is not building muscle mass as expected, benefit tremendously from quality protein sources rich in branched chain amino acids.
Methionine may also be inadequate in unsupplemented diets and deficiency here is most visible in poor hoof quality, something no performance horse can afford.
